SSP Jammu reviews CCTNS, digital policing implementation at PS Domana

Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU, Mar 2: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, Joginder Singh, today reviewed the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS) data feeding process at Police Station Domana here.
He was accompanied by SP Jammu Rural, Brijesh Sharma, and other police officers.
At the police station, he emphasized the need for investigating officers (IOs) and Munshis to enter data themselves instead of relying solely on CCTNS operators.
The police officer stressed that the digital policing is the way forward, aligning with the Government of India’s vision of modernising law enforcement.
The SSP Jammu also ordered the merger of Munshiyat with the CCTNS lab, eliminating the need for a separate room and streamlining the learning process for Munshis and IOs.
He also interacted with the IOs and staff, instructing them to focus on CCTNS, e-Sakshya, and e-summon.
The SSP Jammu directed all the police officers to personally enter case details in CCTNS to ensure accuracy and accountability.
