LEH, Mar 3: The Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh today accorded sanction to the formation of State/UT Level Sanctioning Committee (SLSC) and State Level Executive Committee (SLEC) to oversee the implementation of the Krishonnati Yojana, Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) and (CSS) – Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture.
The committees will be responsible for approving the Annual Action Plan for the financial year 2025-26 and ensuring the effective execution of these schemes aimed at boosting the agricultural and horticultural sectors in the region.
The SLSC will be chaired by the Chief Secretary of Ladakh and will include the following members: Administrative Secretary, Finance Department; Administrative Secretary, Forest, Ecology & Environment Department; Administrative Secretary, Animal/Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries Department; Administrative Secretary, Agriculture/ Horticulture Department, who will serve as the Member Secretary; and Administrative Secretary, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj Department.
The Committee will also include Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Leh and Kargil; Director, Industries and Commerce; Additional Registrar, Cooperative Department; Director, Horticulture Department/State Nodal Officer (KY); Associate Director, School of Agriculture, University of Ladakh (UOL); Joint Director, Agriculture Department; Head, Regional Research Station, Central Arid Zone Research Institute (ICAR), Leh; and a representative from Farmer’s Producer Organizations (FPOs) as members
The SLEC will be led by the Administrative Secretary, Agriculture/Horticulture Department as the Chairperson, and will comprise the following members: a representative from the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare (GoI); Director, Finance Department; Director, Horticulture Department; Joint Director, Agriculture Department; a representative from National Centre for Cold-chain Development (NCCD); Assistant General Manager (Convenor UTLBC); a representative from NABARD; and the State Mission Director (MIDH), NHM, and HMNEH, who will serve as the Member Secretary.
