JAMMU, Mar 3: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar today chaired a meeting to discuss arrangements and logistics for Mega Health camp in Doda-Kishtwar by Rotary International to be held in the second week of April.
The meeting attended by Deputy Commissioners of Doda and Kishtwar, representative of Rotary International, Director Health Jammu, Principal GMC Doda, officials from Ayush, CMOs held detailed discussion on the smooth and successful conduct of the Mega Health camp.
The aim of the Mega Health camp is to provide free of cost medical services including surgeries to the needy and marginalized sections of the society in Doda and Kishtwar.
The Divisional Commissioner directed the Deputy Commissioners and health officials to provide wide publicity and prepare data of the people who can benefit from this Mega Health camp.
It was informed that similar Mega Health camps were also organised earlier in Rajouri Poonch where large numbers of people especially from remote and far-flung areas were provided best medical services and critical surgeries were done.
The Div Com directed the Deputy Commissioners and CMOs to identify the people especially those who are in need and from remote and flung areas of their district to bring them to the Mega Health camp.
During, the one week long Mega Medical camp, a team of doctors and specialists will provide general and specialised medical care and surgeries to alleviate the ailments of the poor and marginalized people.
The District Administration in collaboration with Health Department will provide logistics and make arrangements for the week long medical camp in Doda and Kishtwar.
