Shiv Sena protests, raises demands

JAMMU, Mar 3: Leaders of Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K unit here today staged a protest demonstration demanding special privileges under Section 371 for J&K, liquor ban in Jammu, strict laws on drug and cow smuggling.
The protest was led by Manish Sahni, Shiv Sena J&K president.
The protesters were holding placards with slogans in favour of their demands.
Addressing the protesters Sahni said that narco-terror has increased in J&K and liquor shops have been opened in every nook and corner of Jammu city.
“Number of drug addicts coming to de-addiction centres has increased 100 times in the last 5 years. After every 10-15 minutes, a drug addict is reaching the OPD of government hospitals for treatment,” he maintained demanding protection of cultural identity of J&K under Section 371 and first right for the locals in government jobs and admissions in professional institutions on the lines of north eastern States.
The Shiv Sena leader also demanded strict action to curb the increasing criminal incidents in Jammu.
Meenakshi Chhibber, Vikas Bakshi, Bharat Mahajan, Raj Singh, Sukhwinder Kaur, Vicky Sharma, Davinder Kumar, Sunita Kumari, Yashpal Singh and others were also present in the protest.
