JAMMU, Mar 3: A woman was killed while another seriously injured in a road accident in Akhnoor area today.
Reports said that the mishap took place on Monday, when an e-rickshaw No. JK02DG 3672 collided with a Metador JK02AW3349 at Gadhi village on Akhnoor-Jourion Road. The woman Rani Devi (50), wife of Madan Lal, resident Dhanpur in Khour and an unknown woman were seriously injured in the mishap.
Both the women were shifted to CHC Jourian and from CHC Jourian they were referred to Sub District Hospital Akhnoor, where Rani Devi died. The injured woman was referred to GMC Hospital Jammu. Both the drivers fled from the spot. Police registered a case and started investigation.
