SBI donates computers, accessories

UDHAMPUR, Mar 4: To promote digital literacy and vocational training, State Bank of India (SBI), under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, has donated computers and accessories worth Rs. 5,64,500 to Dhruva AWWA Vocational Training Centre, Udhampur.
The donation included six desktop computers, one server PC, seven UPS systems, six headphones, English-speaking software, 18 computer tables and 18 chairs.
A handout stated that this contribution aims to enhance learning experience of students by providing them with access to modern technology and to improve their digital skills.
The initiative was led by SBI Chinar Compound, Udhampur branch with the support and guidance of Regional Manager, Rajeev Kumar Chabra.
The donation was formally handed over in the presence of Branch Manager, Vikram Dev Arya and Senior Associate, Ashwani Kumar, who visited the training centre and interacted with the beneficiaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Branch Manager, Vikram Dev Arya emphasized SBI’s commitment to empower communities through education and skill development. He stated that access to technology plays a vital role in today’s world and this initiative will equip students with essential computer skills, enhancing their employment prospects.
Dhruva AWWA Vocational Training Centre expressed gratitude for SBI’s generous contribution, acknowledging the positive impact it will have on skill development programs for the students.
