Shiv Sena demands regularization of daily wagers

JAMMU, Mar 4: Shiv Sena UBT J&K has demanded increase in wages of daily wagers of J&K on the lines of those of Ladakh UT and their regularisation.
Addressing a press conference here today, Shiv Sena J&K president, Manish Sahni said that daily salary of temporary employees in J&K is only Rs. 311-449 while the cook preparing mid-day meal in government schools is getting a fixed monthly salary of Rs. 1000 which comes out to be about Rs. 33 per day.
He demanded that step-motherly treatment with the daily wagers of J&K should be stopped and regularization of temporary employees posted in various departments of J&K should be done.
The Shiv Sena leader also demanded that all the MLAs of the ruling as well as the opposition parties and the Lieutenant Governor should work to fulfil these demands of the temporary employees.
On this occasion Shiv Sena general secretary, Vikas Bakshi was also present.
