KARGIL, Mar 7: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon here today chaired a meeting to address the issues related to booking of tickets for AN-32 Courier Service.
Executive Councillor, Tourism, Kacho Mohd Feroz; Executive Councillor, Social Welfare, Aga Syed Mujtaba; Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse; Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Wani and Headquarter to DC, Kaneez Fatima attended the meeting while Chief Coordinator AN-32 Courier Service, Aamir Ali; Liaison Officer AN-32 Courier Service, Kargil; Liaison Officer Jammu; Liaison Officer Srinagar and representative of Mobiquel, attended virtually.
During meeting, the CEC clarified that booking of tickets is not under the jurisdiction of Hill Council Kargil.
He assured a hassle-free and transparent ticket issuance process.
During meeting, the CEC instructed to increase the general seating capacity from 30 to 35 seats. The booking portal will be live from 11 am to 5 pm only and the priority list will be considered after allocating 35 general seats. The CEC instructed that the priority link should be closed from 5 pm to 7 pm.
The CEC was informed that access to the portal has been suspended from the Liaison Officers and will now be managed by the IT Department.
Dr. Akhoon emphasized the need for smooth operation and coordination, to ensure that the general public does not face any inconvenience.
