JAMMU, Mar 8: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the withholding of one increment for Fateh Ali, the then in-charge Assistant Executive Engineer of Jal Shakti Department (JSD) under Rule 30(iii) of the J&K Civil Services Rules, 1956.
The action followed a CBI probe into a bribery case, where Fateh Ali was caught red-handed while demanding and accepting Rs 20,000 for signing official documents.
The investigation revealed misconduct and procedural lapses, leading to disciplinary proceedings.
Despite judicial proceedings pending, the Government found prima facie evidence of misconduct and imposed the penalty.
