JAMMU, Mar 7: Prof Umesh Rai, Vice Chancellor of the University of Jammu today honored a diverse group of contributors, whose dedicated efforts played a pivotal role in the successful NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) accreditation process.
The felicitation function was a part of the ongoing initiative to recognize the invaluable contributions of the university fraternity.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Umesh Rai highlighted the role played by the Chief Proctor, Deputy Chief Proctor team and security personnel for maintaining a safe and disciplined campus environment during the accreditation process.
He said, “The achievement of NAAC accreditation was not just an administrative milestone but a reflection of the university’s commitment to academic and institutional excellence. The combined efforts of the various departments, including the Provost Hostels, University Works Department, NSS, NCC and others, created a conducive environment for learning, discipline and hospitality.”
“The efforts of every individual involved exemplify the spirit of collaboration and commitment that defines the University of Jammu,” he added.
The felicitation ceremony was graced by senior university officials, including Prof Anju Bhasin, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof Meena Sharma, Dean Planning and Development, Prof Neelu Rohmetra, Dean Research Studies, Prof Naresh Padha, Convener, Steering Committee for NAAC and Dr Neeraj Sharma, Registrar.
They lauded the collaborative spirit of all that led to this achievement.
Earlier, Dr Ginny Dogra, Director, DIQA, delivered the formal welcome address, while Akanksha Sharma, Assistant Registrar, DIQA, conducted the proceedings.
The event was coordinated by Ameet Targotra, Assistant Director, DIQA.
Among those felicitated were security Deputy Chief Proctors, CSO, security personnel, liaison officers attached with the NAAC peer team, members of the University Works Department, Provost Hostels, wardens of various hostels, Manager University Guest House, coordinators of NSS and NCC and Convener, Publication Cell.
