‘One Nation, One Election’ aims to strengthen democracy: Kavinder

JAMMU, Mar 8: Senior BJP leader and former Dy CM, Kavinder Gupta here today termed ‘One Nation, One Election’ initiative as a transformative step towards streamlined and efficient democratic processes in India.
He was speaking at an awareness workshop on ‘One Nation, One Election’ organized by ‘Parmeshwari Care and Cure Charitable Trust’ under the supervision of its Managing Director, Prof. (Dr.) Kulbhushan Mohtra. Kavinder Gupta was chief guest on this occasion while Rajeev Gupta was key speaker and Kulbhushan Mohtra along with Balbir Ram Rattan were coordinators of the workshop.
Gupta claimed that this concept of PM Modi aims to strengthen the foundation of Indian democracy.
He underscored that conducting simultaneous elections across the country would eliminate the recurring cycle of electioneering which often hampers governance and development.
“Frequent election burdens the exchequer and disrupts public life due to extensive deployment of manpower and resources,” the BJP leader maintained adding: “The concept of ‘One Nation, One Election’ is not just about saving money but also to provide stability and consistency in governance.”
Rajiv Gupta said that BJP remains steadfast in its commitment to foster reforms that benefit the people of India.
Kulbhushan Mohtra introduced the subject and Balbir Ram Rattan presented vote of thanks. Prominent among those who attended the workshop were Abhey Kumar Mahajan, Atul Vinod Duggal, Kishor Jamwal, Dil Bahadur Singh Jamwal, T.K Sharma, Jackson, Vinod Kumar Jaral, C.M Seth, Deepak Kapahi, Maj Gen S.K Sharma (retired), S.C Gupta, R.S Jamwal, Madan Rangila, Vijay Gupta, Sat Pal Sharma, Rajan Verma, Hemant Sharma, Bharat Bhushan Sharma and Bimal Gupta.
