JAMMU, Mar 8: Senior BJP leader and MLA Bahu constituency, Vikram Randhawa today kick-started the PHE pipeline project in Ward 45, Digiana with an estimated cost of Rs 47.45 lakh, underscoring BJP’s dedication to the ‘Har Ghar Nal Se Jal’ under the prestigious Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) Scheme.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by key officials from the PHE department, including AEE Amit Sharma and JE Arun Kumar. Prominent local leaders such as mandal president Ritika along with Sahil Sharma, Dalair Singh, Narinder Koki, Satpaul Choudhary, Vinod Sharma, Varinder Gupta, Sanju Bhau, and other community members, were also present.
Addressing the gathering, Vikram Randhawa emphasized the BJP’s commitment to infrastructural development and the well-being of the residents. He stated, “This pipeline project is a testament to our dedication to providing essential amenities to every household. Access to clean water is a fundamental right, and we are steadfast in our efforts to ensure that the residents of Digiana receive uninterrupted and safe water supply.”
Randhawa emphasized that the Modi Government’s JJM is a transformative initiative aimed at ensuring ‘Har Ghar Nal Se Jal’—providing every rural household with a functional tap water connection. He further noted that the JJM not only addresses the immediate need for safe drinking water but also contributes to broader socio-economic development by promoting water conservation, rainwater harvesting, and sustainable resource management practices.
The MLA reiterated the Modi Government’s steadfast commitment to achieving ‘Har Ghar Nal Se Jal’ under the Jal Jeevan Mission, ensuring that every household in the nation has access to safe and adequate drinking water. He stressed upon the PHE officials to complete the work within the stipulated timeframe and adhere to the highest standards of quality.
