JAMMU, Mar 9: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) hosted Smart Solutions Exhibition 2025, a spectacular event that brought together young innovators, creative thinkers, and problem-solvers from across the region.
The exhibition was organized as part of Annual Festival by the Board of Professional Activities (BPA), SMVDU. The exhibition provided a vibrant platform for students to showcase ground breaking ideas, working models, and research-driven projects aimed at addressing real-world challenges through technology and creativity.
The event was inaugurated by Prof Pragati Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, SMVDU wherein Dr Yatheshth Anand, Head, School of Mechanical Engineering, was also present on the occasion.
Vice-Chancellor, SMVDU interacted with students from various colleges and universities, and appreciated their innovative approaches, making the experience even more enriching for the participants.
Dr Ankush Raina, President, BPA, stressed that events like this not only provide insight into the latest technological developments but also open doors for future collaborations and partnerships.
With over 20 teams from MIET Jammu, Government College for Women Parade, Khalsa College Amritsar, GCET Jammu, SMVDU, among others, participated in the exhibition. The exhibition showcased an impressive range of working models, visionary research, and thought-provoking presentations. The enthusiasm and dedication of the participants were truly remarkable, making it a tough challenge for the judges to select the winners.
Young Minds from GCET, Jammu, bagged the first prize in the Model Display category for their outstanding innovation, followed by Vadar KCET from Khalsa College in second place and Team Civil Engineering from SMVDU in third place. In the idea/ Presentation category, The Clean Code from GCW Parade impressed the judges and secured the first position, while Srijana from SMVDU and Hydroponic Curtain from GCW Parade claimed the second and third spots, respectively.
Prof Ankush Anand, Coordinator of the event, stated that objective was to explore the possibilities of collaboration, exchange of ideas, and real-world problem-solving techniques.
Dr Mir Irfan ul Haq, Associate Dean, Alumni and International Affairs and co-coordinator of the event, said that the Smart Solutions Exhibition 2025 set a new benchmark for future editions. Efforts of student coordinators Muskan Gupta, Dhiraj Kumar, Ramnik Sharma, Astabhujanath Pandey and others led to the successful completion of the event.
