JKP wrestler Nisar wins ‘Jib Kesari Dangal Title 2025’

REASI, Mar 10: Wrestler Nisar of J&K Police clinched the “Jib Kesari Dangal Title 2025” after defeating Alam of Pathankot, Punjab, in the first malli main bout that lasting 22 minutes, at village Manmella, here today.
The event was organized by the Shiv Shakti Dangal Committee in collaboration with the J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association.
Ex-Minister and MLA Udhampur (West) Pawan Kumar Gupta, the chief guest, awarded cash prizes to the winners. Shiv Kumar Sharma, President of the J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, presided over the event. Guests of honour included prominent figures such as Varinder Badyal, Ex-Sarpanch Satish Kumar and Sub Inspector Hukam Singh.
Nisar was awarded Rs 31,000 for his victory, while Alam received Rs 20,000. The event featured 65 bouts with a total cash prize pool of Rs 3, 50,000. Other notable winners included Nadeem from Doda and Anil from Reasi. Shiv Kumar Sharma encouraged youth to embrace sports and make it a part of their lives.
