JAMMU, Mar 12: President of the Minority Morcha of Jammu and Kashmir Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), Ranjodh Singh Nalwa, asserted that the minority communities across the country, including those in J&K, are reaping the benefits of various welfare schemes introduced by the Union Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing a gathering of the Muslim community at Chadoora in Budgam district, Nalwa emphasized the inclusive approach of the Modi Government, stating that its welfare initiatives cater to all sections of society without any bias based on caste, creed or religion. He highlighted that various schemes launched by the Government, including those related to housing, healthcare, and farmers’ welfare, have particularly benefited people from minority communities.
The event also saw a significant political shift, as around 15 workers from different parties, primarily the National Conference (NC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). These new entrants pledged their support to the BJP and vowed to strengthen the leadership of J&K BJP president Sat Sharma.
Accompanied by Imtiaz Butt (general secretary, Minority Morcha), Nalwa underscored the international recognition received by Prime Minister Modi, stating that he is the only Indian prime minister to have been conferred with the highest number of awards from Muslim-majority countries. This, he said, is a testament to Modi’s inclusive governance and the respect he commands globally.
“The BJP and the Modi Government do not differentiate among people on the basis of religion or caste. Our commitment is to ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,’ ensuring development and welfare for all,” Nalwa reiterated. He urged the people of J&K to continue supporting the BJP’s vision of inclusive progress and national development.
The gathering at Chadoora concluded with renewed enthusiasm among BJP supporters, as the party continues to expand its base in the region, drawing members from diverse backgrounds.
