JAMMU, Mar 12: National Secular Forum (NSF), University Unit here today organized a programme on the birth anniversary of Yashwantrao Balwantrao Chavan who laid his life for the country.
A programme in this regard was organized wherein Dr. Vikas Sharma, coordinator Jammu district and Zonal secretary NC was chief guest while Dr. Sukhdev Singh State president NSF, presided over the function. Vikshay Vashist, State secretary NSF was guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Sharma threw light on the life history of Yashwantrao Chavan.
“From his childhood Yashwantrao was fascinated by the freedom struggle of India and he was very closely associated with many poets, editors and several Marathi and Hindi writers,” he said.
Dr. Sukhdev Singh talked about the sacrifices of Chavan.
Vikshay Vashist also spoke on the occasion.
Gourav Partap Singh, president University Unit delivered welcome address, Abhishek Uppal and Jammu district Chairman delivered vote of thanks.
