SRINAGAR, Mar 12: Gulmarg and other hilly areas of Kashmir received another spell of snowfall today while the Valley continued to experience intermittent rains.
The Meteorological Centre Srinagar said the wet weather is likely to affect the region till the weekend.

Srinagar and other parts of the Kashmir Valley were lashed by intermittent rains, leading to a drop in the temperature.
Some higher reaches in Kashmir, including the ski resort of Gulmarg, received light snowfall during the past 24 hours.
The MeT office said that the highest precipitation was recorded at Kupwara, 11.2 mm of rainfall, followed by Pahalgam, 7.4 mm; Kokernag; Gulmarg, 5.0 mm; and Srinagar, 4.8 mm during the past 24 hours.
The MeT Office forecasted light to moderate rain and snow at many places during the next 24 hours, while there is a possibility of intermittent light to moderate rain/snow at many places during March 15 and 16.
“The weather is likely to remain dry from March 17 to 21,” the MeT office said.
The MeT office has also issued an advisory for travellers, tourists, and transporters to follow the admn/traffic advisory before planning their trip during the period.
Meanwhile, the night temperature dropped but recorded 2 to 5°C above the average at many parts of Kashmir.
The minimum temperature in Srinagar improved and settled at 7.4°C. This was 3.7°C above the average for the place during this period of the season.
The ski resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir remained the coldest place with a low of -1.2°C, and this was still 2.1°C above the average for the place during this period of the season, while at Pahalgam it improved by a notch to 2.7°C and Kokernag to 5.2°C.
