JAMMU, Mar 13: Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ), J&K, and DeshBhagat University (DBU), Punjab, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote academic excellence, research collaboration, and professional growth among students and faculty members.
The MoU was formally signed by Ankur Mahajan, Registrar of CLUJ, and the Registrar of DBU, with senior officials and academic leaders from both institutions present at the ceremony.
Dr K S Chandrasekar, Vice-Chancellor of CLUJ, provided an insightful briefing about the university through a presentation, while Pooja, Director of Placement at DBU, presented an overview of her institution.
The agreement aims to facilitate joint efforts in organizing job fairs, industry-specific workshops, internship and placement drives, research collaborations, and academic exchange programs. Through this partnership, both universities will organize a job fair in April 2025 at CLUJ, providing students with opportunities to connect with industry professionals and explore career prospects.
The signing ceremony was attended by CLUJ Deans, Principals of constituent colleges, and FA/ CAO. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof D S Manhas, Director of the Placement Cell at CLUJ.
This collaboration marks a significant step toward strengthening industry-academia linkages and enhancing the employability of students from both institutions.
