Commissioner JMC visits Ward No 52, assesses people grievances

JAMMU, Mar 13: To take stock of the people’s grievance and their developmental needs, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Dr Devansh Yadav today conducted an extensive tour of Ward No. 52.
During the visit at Ambedkar Nagar Extension in Trikuta Nagar, the Commissioner met with the people, listened to their grievances that they were facing due to drainage system.
They informed that the area face flood like situation during rainy season in general and monsoon season in particular as the channel is unable to take the rain water which causes hardship to the residents.
Acknowledging their grievances, Dr Yadav directed the concerned officials to expedite demarcating of nallahs so that the work on widening of the nallahs could be undertaken at the earliest for the convenience of residents.
He also urged upon residents to remove encroachments along the Nallah, if any, which obstruct its cleaning and maintenance.
Among others who accompanied the Commissioner included Deputy Commissioner (South), Lal Chand, Joint Commissioner Works, Firdous Ahmed Qazi and other senior officers of the JMC.
