JAMMU, Mar 13: To monitor the difficulties being faced by the small private schools of district Jammu, a meeting was organized by Lal Chand Gandotra, District President (Jammu) of J&K Private Schools Association, under the chairmanship of Kamal Gupta.
Members in the meeting highlighted difficulties due to the online portal generated for granting recognition/ affiliation by the JKBOSE and School Education Department collectively.
They explained that due to delay in issuance of essential NOCs by the different departments, private schools were hapless to upload all essential documents in the portal of SED in one go. In such circumstances JKBOSE officials deprive them from online services without their faults, they added.
They also alleged that the Department of Education has created number of bottlenecks to harass and discourage small private schools in the name of verification of antecedents of the members involved in the management committee.
President of JKPSA Ajay appealed to the Government to issue a calendar directing different departments for the time bound delivery of all NOCs needed for recognition /affiliation in accordance to the Jammu and Kashmir Public Services Guarantee Act of 2011. He also appealed for the withdrawal of the provision of CID verification of the members of the management committee because clarification from CID is needed only in the case of change of nomenclature / location of a private school as per the instructions laid in Circular No. 02 -SED of 2022 dated 10-02-2022.
During the meeting, central executive body of JKPSA inducted Bindiya Samyal and Apurav Gupta as Vice presidents, Vijay Sharma as general secretary, Ankur Gupta as joint Secretary, Sham Ved Sharma as chief organizer, Naresh Kumari as treasurer and Esther William as advisor to the district president Jammu.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting, included Deepak Handa (Sr Vice President), Sat Paul Mansotra (General Secretary), Sanjeev Luthra, Dr Madan Mohan, Gaurav Charak, Ajay Singh, Maitree Jain, Racchpal Singh, Vineet Gupta, Naresh Kumar, Rishi Gupta, Rajat Kesar, Raj Dulari Gupta, Maitree Jain, Deep Dayal, Raj Kumar Sharma, Kiran Raina, J N Bhat, Manjeet Kour Saini, Pooja Sharma and others.
