RAMBAN, Mar 13: The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, DKR range, Shridhar Patil, presided over the Thana Divas function at Ramban, reiterating that people-centric policing is their priority. The event, held in Ramban aimed to strengthen the bond between law enforcement agency and the community.

During the event, Additional SP Ramban Gourav Mahajan emphasized the importance of resolving public issues, combating crime and ensuring a safe environment for law-abiding citizens. The DIG highlighted the significance of community involvement in shaping policing priorities.
The event also featured discussions on the new criminal laws, which are designed to be more victim and citizen-centric, differing from the colonial-era laws. The visiting officers listened to public grievances and assured prompt redressal.
The DIG appealed to the participants to collaborate with the police in eliminating crime and reporting suspicious activities.
