JAMMU, Mar 15: BJP leader and District Development Council (DDC) member, Suresh Sharma, inaugurated a 63 KVA transformer in Beyal Mohalla, Panchayat Choura, Block Chowki Choura, marking a significant improvement in the region’s power infrastructure. The transformer, installed at a cost of Rs 6.50 lakh, addresses a long-standing issue of low-voltage problems faced by local residents.
The demand for better electricity supply had been a key concern during a Janta Darbar in the Panchayat, where residents raised complaints about frequent power fluctuations. Responding to their grievances, Suresh Sharma immediately took action by securing approval for the transformer from the District Development Council fund. With its installation, the people of Beyal Mohalla can now expect a stable and uninterrupted power supply.
Sharma emphasized his commitment to the overall development of the area, highlighting ongoing efforts in improving power supply, road construction, education, and healthcare. He credited these developments to the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the numerous welfare schemes benefiting the region.
The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Tehsildar Chowki Choura Parmod Kumar, Naib Tehsildar Narendra Kumar, PDD Engineer Iqbal, former Sarpanch Ramesh Lal and local leaders.
