JAMMU, Mar 22: G.D Goenka Public School, Jammu (governed by Om Prakash Bansal Charitable Trust) here today celebrated Annual Day cum Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony.
The event, themed ‘Adventures of Mowgli’, beautifully captured the journey of young learners, guided and nurtured by their mentors, much like Bagheera and Baloo guiding Mowgli.
The function commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp.
Pre-Primary Coordinator, Navpreet Kaur, delivered welcome address.
The event was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including Director Sanya Bansal, Principal Arindam Roy Choudhury, Dean Academics Susmita Roy Choudhury and Coordinators Nishita Sharma, Deepali Koul and Varsha Billawaria.
A notable highlight of the event was the jungle-themed decoration, which transformed the school premises into a magical world straight out of Mowgli’s adventures. The selfie corner was a crowd favourite, where guests enthusiastically clicked pictures amidst the lush green setup, animal cut-outs and vibrant decor.
The programme began with a welcome song by kindergarten students and after this the graduation ceremony took place where the young graduates, dressed in charming costumes, received their certificates amid loud cheers and applause.
Principal Arindam Roy Choudhury applauded the students for their confident performances and emphasized School’s commitment to holistic education, fostering not only academic excellence but also the development of creativity and social skills.
A unique feature was the live narration by the young children of LKG and UKG, whose confident storytelling added charm and authenticity to the presentation.
