JAMMU, Apr 2: “Aao Khushiyan Baantein Manch Jammu” released Rattan Sehgal Ratan’s poetry book “Sanskaron Ka Bhusakhhalan” (Landslides in cultural sacraments), here today at Writer’s Club.
Presiding over the function, Secretary of Jammu Kashmir Academy of Art Culture and Languages (JKAACL), Harvinder Kaur said that AKB Manch has been working hard for the past seven years to develop more literary and knowledgeable environment among the Jammu youth.
“Sanskaron Ka Bhuskhalan” is the fourth poetry collection of Rattan Sehgal. Speaking on occasion, Rattan Sehgal informed that his three books were ready for release soon. These include “Bara 1947” ( Year 1947) a collection of true stories in Dogri; “Jammu Ka Itihas Aur Dharm & . Kuchh Ansuljhe Prashna” in Hindi.
Prof. Parshottam Kumar of Hindi Department in Jammu University, read his research paper on the poetry collection of Rattan Sehgal. He said that this poetry collection throws light on declining standards and behaviour of India’s cultural traditions, dignity, and has been written with a hope of its improvement.
The stage was managed by Dr Uma Salathia while Sohail Kazmi, senior journalist & patron of this Manch, presented a welcome address. President of the forum and former Senior Superintendent of Jails, Rajni Sehgal presented vote of thanks.
On the occasion, AKB Manch honoured senior journalists of Jammu with Siya-Ram Sehgal Sammaan 2024-25. Ashok Sharma of Dainik Jagran, Monica Jamwal of Take One TV, Mohd Asraf Ganei of ETV Bharat and R K Abrol of Taskeen were the journalists who were honoured.
A number of literary personalities besides all the members of Aao Khushiyan Baantein Manch were present on the occasion.
