UDHAMPUR, Apr 5: Police apprehended an absconder who was wanted in a case registered at Police Station Kud, almost 26 years back.
A Police team of Police Station Kud succeeded in apprehending the absconder, identified as Abdul Majid Bhat, son of Abdul Ahad of Barachar Loran Mandi, Poonch. He was evading arrest in case FIR No 42/1998 U/S 3/7 EC Act and 6/10 MO Act of PS Kud.
A warrant U/S 512 CrPC was issued by the JMIC Udhampur against him. Accordingly, the said absconder was produced in the court of law and the arrest warrant under section 512 CrPC issued against him got executed.
