RAJOURI, Apr 5: A massive fire broke out today in the dense forests of Dera Ki Gali (DKG) area, near Maggi Morh, triggering swift action from the local administration, Forest Department, and Fire & Emergency Services.
The blaze, which started today afternoon, quickly spread due to dry weather conditions threatening vast stretches of forest land and nearby habitations.
Upon receiving information, the district administration immediately mobilized teams from the Forest Department and Fire Brigade, who rushed to the site and began fire control operations. The coordinated response aims to contain the fire and prevent further damage to the ecologically sensitive zone.
Forest officials, along with local volunteers, are also engaged in the firefighting efforts, working tirelessly under challenging conditions. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely and have appealed to residents in nearby areas to remain vigilant and cooperate with the emergency teams.
