A Chapter Closes, A Page Turns
In halls I’ve walked, where memories reside,
A piece of heart remains, as I step aside.
The familiar faces, the laughter and the tears,
Echoes of a chapter, through all the passing years.
The comfort zone, where growth was made,
Now feels like a skin, outgrown and frayed.
The itch to explore, to discover and to roam,
Beckons me to leave, and make a new home.
A mix of emotions, like autumn’s hue,
Melancholy and excitement, intertwined anew.
The fear of unknown, the thrill of the new,
A bittersweet symphony, my heart doth renew.
As I bid adieu, to this familiar shore,
I take with me lessons, and memories galore.
The people, the experiences, the triumphs and the strife,
Shaped me, molded me, and prepared me for life.
The new horizon beckons, with promise and with might,
A chance to spread wings, to soar into new light.
New faces, new stories, new challenges to abide,
A fresh canvas awaits, where colors will reside.
I take a deep breath, and step into the unknown,
Embracing the ambivalence, as I make my way back home.
For growth is a journey, of twists and of turns,
And though it’s hard to leave, a new chapter yearns.

I am a Proud Veteran
A proud veteran of a professional Army
I served in all weathers hot or stormy
May it be the deserts of hot windy sand
Or Skying heights of mountainous land
A proudly share the wonderful narration
That with full of might I served my Nation
Throughout whole great land far and near
I served proudly through best of my years
With a deep rooted passion of country first
We all strived hard and gave our best
And endowed with the military medals
Which I proudly bear on my chest
An organization above color creed or caste
I feel so proud to have served in the past
With total medication and commitment
To complete any challenging task
High spirit never and a winning attitude
Such an Organization I would ever salute
I met great people I never had thought
And have heroic stories to tell a lot
Soldiering had brave hearts around
They walked along me row by row
We reached where only real heroes go
Tody when I have changed my uniform
I serve my people and brothers in arm
Though as a veteran I will never get tired
I serve as a Veteran to the people around
And my love for my country knew no bound
I narrated my emotions never to hide
My services will continue till I survive
I am now contented and if there is a lust
The country was and will always be first
