RAJOURI, Apr 8: Police foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued eight bovines besides arresting the smuggler.
During routine patrolling in the Dharali Morh area, a team from Rajouri Police Station intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK11E- 0598. During search, the vehicle was found laden with eight bovine animals in a very cruel manner and without authorization from the competent authority.
The driver, identified as Zakir Hussain, son of Mir Hussain, resident of Narian Nowshera was taken into custody.
In this regard FIR No.183/2025 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Rajouri.
