CII J&K startup panel holds meet with Dr Vivek Sharma

JAMMU, Apr 8: To explore collaborative opportunities for fostering entrepreneurship in Jammu & Kashmir, the CII J&K startup panel, under the leadership of Shivang Mahajan, Convener, CII J&K Startup panel along with Abhishek Sachdeva (Sachdeva Netralaya) and Deepak Sharma (Vishwamitra Water Technologies), held a productive meeting with Dr Vivek Sharma, Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) at IIM Jammu, here today.
During the meeting, IIM Jammu’s flagship initiative offers grants up to Rs 10 lakh per startup through its Incubation and Technology Business Incubation (i-TBI) program, supporting innovators in prototyping and commercializing their ideas.
This collaboration aims to create a robust bridge between academia and industry, providing J&K’s entrepreneurs with access to funding, incubation facilities, and expert mentorship.
The delegation also proposed organizing capacity-building workshops and startup awareness programs across J&K to empower aspiring entrepreneurs.
Dr Sharma welcomed the proposals and shared valuable insights on district-level interventions to nurture grassroots innovation.
The meeting concluded on an enthusiastic note, with Dr Sharma and Kanav Padha, Manager, DST iTBI, IIM Jammu assuring full support from IIM Jammu to jointly execute these initiatives.
