JAMMU, Apr 10: The NSS unit of Government Degree College, Ramgarh celebrated the birth anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar today, by organizing a pledge ceremony dedicated to upholding the values enshrined in the Constitution. The event was held under the guidance of the College Principal, Prof (Dr) Meeru Abrol.
Faculty members and students of the College together took a collective pledge to uphold the dignity of the Constitution and promote unity, harmony, and respect for the democratic framework of the country.
Meanwhile, Ambedkar Jayanti Celebration Committee, Jammu & Kashmir, organized the grand Ambedkar Phule Rally which started from Bhagwati Nagar and culminated at Ambedkar Chowk, Jammu. The rally was a tribute to two great social reformers—Dr B R Ambedkar and Mahatma Jyotiba Phule—who dedicated their lives to the upliftment of the oppressed and the fight for social justice and equality.
The event aimed to spread awareness about their teachings and inspire collective action toward a just society. The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from various social organizations, students, youth groups, and citizens from across the Union Territory.
