UDHAMPUR, Apr 11: A one-day conclave was organized at the unit location of 6 J&K Battalion NCC, Udhampur, bringing together Associated NCC Officers (ANOs) and Care Taker Officers (CTOs) from across the region.
The event was chaired by Colonel Sumit Bana, Commanding Officer, 6 J&K Bn NCC, with Lieutenant Colonel U S Thakur, ADM Officer, also in attendance.
The conclave witnessed the participation of ANOs and CTOs from 39 educational institutions affiliated with the battalion, making it a truly representative and inclusive gathering. The primary objective of the conclave was to enhance interaction among senior ANOs and CTOs and to update them on the latest NCC procedures and initiatives. A special focus was laid on the expansion plan aimed at increasing the reach of NCC in the remote and far-flung areas of Udhampur and Reasi districts.
The session was highly interactive, with vibrant discussions and active participation from all attendees. Stakeholders shared insights and exchanged ideas to better facilitate NCC activities and improve the overall experience for cadets.
Structured presentations on key topics were delivered by Lt (Dr) Kamaldeep Kaur, ANO, and Government College for Women, Udhampur, TO Ranjan Parashar, ANO, Army Public School, Udhampur, Sandeep, ANO, Government Higher Secondary School, Barolla, Madhvi Mathur, ANO, APS Dhar Road.
The conclave was also graced virtually by Major General Anupinder Bevli, Additional Director General, JK&L Directorate NCC, and Brigadier D N Pandey, Group Commander, NCC Group Jammu, who addressed the gathering with their inspiring messages and strategic insights.
