UDHAMPUR, Apr 12: A five-day orientation and refresher course for officers and officials of the CID wing of Jammu and Kashmir Police concluded today at the Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA), Udhampur.
A statement said, the course was attended by twenty-five participants and aimed at upgrading their skills in intelligence gathering and internal security.
During the course, expert lectures were delivered by guest faculty, including academicians and serving and retired police officers, to provide practical insights into the challenges faced by the CID Wing.
The training covered the importance of intelligence in countering anti-national activities and highlighted the need for better coordination among agencies to maintain law and order.
A valedictory function marked the end of the course. Rajinder Kumar Gupta, SSP, Deputy Director (Indoor/Trainings), SKPA Udhampur, was the Chief Guest.
In his address, he emphasized the importance of timely information sharing and inter-agency cooperation.
He also spoke about the evolution and digitization of the passport verification process, underlining the key role played by the CID wing and the need for close coordination with the Passport Office under the Ministry of External Affairs.
The course was coordinated by Inspector Kuldeep Krishan, with support from Head Constable Sanjay Kumar of SKPA.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks and the distribution of certificates to the participants.
