DC Srinagar reviews implementation of self-employment schemes

SRINAGAR, Apr 15: In order to assess the progress and implementation of various self-employment schemes in the district, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat here.
Addressing the officers, DC emphasized the importance of working with dedication, zeal, and a proactive approach to ensure that the benefits of these schemes reach the intended beneficiaries. He urged all departments to work in close coordination for the effective implementation of self-employment programmes in the district.
DC reiterated the administration’s commitment to empowering youth through sustainable livelihood opportunities and directed all the stakeholders to intensify efforts in this regard.
The meeting witnessed participation from key District Officers from the departments engaged in the implementation of self-employment initiatives aimed at promoting livelihood opportunities for the youth and unemployed sections of society.
Earlier, Deputy Director Employment, (DECC) Srinagar, Dr Sheeba Inayat, who also serves as the Nodal Officer for self-employment schemes, gave a detailed presentation outlining the scope, targets, and achievements of different self-employment schemes for the financial year 2024-25.
The presentation highlighted departmental targets and the progress made in each sector.
General Manager DIC, Hamidia Akhtar, Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar, Lead District Manager, Nilofer Jan and other concerned Officers were present in the meeting.
