JAMMU, Apr 15: In a series of impactful meetings held across District Udhampur, R S Pathania, MLA Udhampur East, addressed enthusiastic gatherings of BJP cadres and local community members, emphasizing the historic significance of extending rail connectivity up to Kashmir.
He urged the people to turn out in record numbers at the upcoming rally at Sports Stadium, Katra, calling the railway extension a “new milestone in the socio-political-cultural history of Jammu and Kashmir.”
Pathania remarked that the railway extension is not just a physical or logistical milestone but a transformative symbol of national integration, inclusive development, and outreach. “It represents a collective leap toward a more connected, empowered, and culturally vibrant Jammu and Kashmir,” he stated.
Highlighting its multi-dimensional impact, Pathania said that the project will boost tourism, create local employment, empower small industries and enhance access to services.
Pathania also stressed the socio-cultural dimensions of this project, stating that it will deepen national unity and integration by fostering a fusion of traditions, values, and ideas. “This project will strengthen the spirit of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat, enriching both the Valley and the rest of India,” he said.
The extension of the railway to Kashmir, he affirmed, is a powerful testament to the Government of India’s unwavering commitment to the holistic development and integration of Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, during an interaction with multiple public deputations at the BJP headquarters in Battal Ballian, Pathania also addressed pressing issues concerning road connectivity, drinking water shortages, and erratic electricity supply in the region.
He reiterated the Government’s commitment to serving the “last man in the last row. Highlighting the importance of inclusive growth. Pathania encouraged residents to make full use of flagship initiatives of the Government of India, such as the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), which aims to provide pucca houses to every household.
Also present during the interaction were Mohinder Kumar, Ashish Sharma, Lalita Sharma,(all Mandal Pradhans), Yoginder Sharma, Vijay Kumar, Viraj, Joginder Gupta, Parveen Singh and galaxy of locals.
