JAMMU, Apr 27: Various Kashmiri Pandit organisations have demanded fool proof security for minorities living in Kashmir including PM package and reserved category employees, minority employees working in Central Government offices and Kashmiri Pandits who did not left the Valley during the turmoil and preferred to stay there till date.
In their separate statements socio-political activists Vinod Pandita and Sanjay Dhar said in view of the security lapses in Pahalgam which led to massacre of 26 tourists, there is concern among the community for the safety of PM package and reserved category employees, other minority employees working in Central and UT Government departments and non migrant Pandits in Valley. They demanded fool proof security for them be ensured besides, the immediate steps be taken to provide Government accommodation to all package employees in Valley.
They also demanded beefing up the security in those villages and areas where non displaced minorities are living.
The same concern was expressed by Abhinavgupt Shaktiveers co-convener, I K Raina and senior KP leader and socio political activist, Hira Lal Bhat. They too demanded fool proof security be ensured to the minorities in Valley including all camps of package employees.
J&K National United Front (JKNUF) working president, Rakesh Handoo has also urged the Government to take immediate steps in ensuring security of package employees and other minorities living in Valley in view of recent Pahalgam carnage and intensification of terrorist activities in J&K.
