JAMMU, Apr 28: Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School celebrated Founder’s Day, commemorating 250 glorious years of the Congregation of the Presentation Sisters. The occasion paid a heartfelt tribute to Nano Nagle, the founder known as the “Lady with the Lantern.”
A special assembly by Class X students, themed “Journey of the Pilgrim Heart,” beautifully captured Nano Nagle’s inspiring legacy through a thought-provoking skit and a soulful prayer dance. The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Amelina Rodrigues, the Principal, in the presence of the revered Presentation Sisters.
In her address, she highlighted Nano Nagle’s mission of compassion, education and service to the marginalized, reaffirming the school’s commitment to these enduring values.
As part of the Jubilee Year, a symbolic Lantern March led by Class IV students illuminated the school corridors, representing the light of knowledge, humility and love that Nano Nagle shared with the world.
