Five people detained in UK on suspicion of planning terrorist attack: Police

LONDON, May 4: Five people, including four Iranian nationals, have been detained in the UK on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack, Metropolitan Police said.
“Counter Terrorism Police have arrested five people on suspicion of terrorism offences as part of a proactive investigation, which is being led by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command,” the statement says.
It is noted that the ethnicity of the fifth man is being established. They all currently remain in custody. The ages of the detainees range from 29 to 46.
As part of the investigation, police are also conducting searches in London, Swindon and Greater Manchester. (UNI)
