Srinagar, July 31: Police today seized illicit forest timber in Bandipora and arrested an accused person involved in the commission of the crime.
Bandipora police received specific information that one person namely Nazir Ahmad Beigh son of Ab Rehman resident of Hakbara Hajin has kept a large quantity of illicit forest timber in the lawns of his residential house, police said.
Accordingly, a police team led by SHO PS Hajin raided the particular spot. “During the search, illicit forest timber was recovered from the said location. He was arrested and shifted to PS where he remains in custody.”
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Hajin and an investigation has been initiated.
