JAMMU: The ongoing Inter-Departmental Tournaments for the session 2023-24 were held at the Directorate of Sports of Physical Education, University of Jammu, organised by the Chairman of the Campus Sports Committee, University of Jammu. These Tournaments are being played in the disciplines of Volleyball (M) and chess (M&W).
The matches were conducted under the supervision of Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Chairman, Campus Sports Committee, University of Jammu.
The detailed results of the matches in different disciplines
Chess (Men): Statistics Department beat Law Department by 2-1; DSRS Department beat Economics Department by 2-1; Chemistry Department beat Electronics Department by 2-1; Buddhist Studies Department beat Journalism Department by 2-1; and DDE and OE beat The Law School by 2-0.
Chess (Women): Geology Department beat Philosophy Department 2-0; DSRS Department beat Buddhist Department by 2-0; Electronics Department beat Library Science Department by 2-0; and Commerce Department beat The Law School by 2-1.
Table-Tennis (Men): DDE&OE Department beat Urdu Department by 2-0; Political Science Department beat Library Science Department by 2-0; and DSRS beat Zoology Department by 2-0.
Volleyball (M) Quarterfinal Match: Law Deptt beat SHTM Deptt by 2-1 (13-15, 15-11, 15-09); Economics Dept beat Buddhist Dept by 2-1 (19-17, 10-15, 15-11); Geography Department defeated Political Science Department 2-0 (15-07, 15-11); and DD and OE beat Physical Education by 2-0 (15-09, 15-10)
