SIA raids four locations of terrorist associates, OGWs in Jammu, Udhampur

Jammu: The Special Investigation Agency (SIA) on Tuesday carried out raids at the residential houses of terrorist associates and Over Ground Workers (OWGs) at four different locations in Jammu and Udhampur
Based on intelligence inpurs, the border guides and Over Ground Workers (OWGS) are using different mobile app’s including WhatsApp calling and passing vital information to Pakistan based terrorists and handlers as well as terror groups. The Pakistan based handlers and terror groups are desperate to revive the terrorist activities in the hinterland of UT Jammu and Kashmir. On these reports, the State Investigation Agency Jammu, obtained search warrant from the court in case FIR No .2/2022 U/sec.13,18,19,21,23,38,39,40 of UAP Act JIC SIA Jammu and conducted searches in the residential premises of Nazir Ahmed, son of Ghulam Haider; Mohammed Rafiq, Son of Ali Mohammed and Altaf Hussain, son of Mohammed Yousf, all the three residents of Basant Garh in Udhampur district besides the house of Mohd Iqbal at Peer Bagh locality of Sunjwan in the early hours.
The officials said that Iqbal, originally a resident of village Khor in Mahore Tehsil of Reasi district, was a former terrorist associate and the raid was conducted on the suspicion that he still has connections with terrorists. The raiding team confiscated a mobile phone and two SIM cards for examination, they said.
During searches electric gadgets and relevant documents etc were recovered .The searches were conducted in presence of Executive Magistrate and with the active participation of district police Udhampur and Jammu.
