Pakistan’s former prime minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Khan were sentenced to seven years in prison by a Rawalpindi court for violating the law with their 2018 marriage during Bushra’s ‘iddat period’. The court ruled on the complaint of Bushra’s former husband Khawar Fareed Maneka. Imran already faces a 10-year disqualification from holding public office.
