JAMMU, Apr 9: With the announcement of the election schedule and the candidates filing their nomination papers, the political battle is getting hot as different parties, BJP in particular, is undertaking hectic campaigning in two seats of Lok Sabha in Jammu and Kashmir UT, going for polls in first and second phase. Although the individual candidates of BJP and the parent body is engaged in massive campaigning, the SC Morcha leadership should also devote more time and reach every community to garner support for the party candidates.
This was stated by Balbir Ram Rattan, former Vice Chairperson and BJP Media Relations Department Co-Incharge, during his meeting with the senior office bearers of the SC Morcha, at party Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, here, today.
Balbir said that this electoral fight is between BJP and Congress, the achievements of their Governments, which have been in power for ten years each and also a battle between two ideologies. He said that every activist of the BJP has to acquaint himself with the detailed works of splendid development and public welfare under the Modi Government and reach at the doors of the people to share with them what has been done for improving the healthcare and education infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir, like other states and UTs. They should tell them how exceptional road, rail and air connectivity has brought sweeping changes in travel, transportation and providing big relief by saving time and money.
Balbir further said that J&K has a large population of SCs, STs, OBCs and other communities and each one from among us should know that the Narendra Modi Government has taken care of every community and class in its programmes and policies.
The 10 years report card of Modi Government shows that PM Awas Yojna, Ujwala Yojna, Mudra scheme, Ayushman Health scheme, has benefitted lakhs of people in J&K. Poor people are getting free ration, tap water has reached thousands of families, toilets for poor people have been constructed.
SC Morcha Vice presidents Vijay Anand Gill and Seema Kumari, general secretary Adarsh Jathiar, Media Incharge, Girdhari Lal Dogra, office secretary Hans Raj Loria were present in the meeting.
