UDHAMPUR, Apr 12: A teenaged youth committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree near his house at village Seen Brahmna in Tikri, here today.
According to the Police reports, Sunil Dutt (18), son of Ram Lal, resident of village Seen Brahmna, Khandra, Tehsil Udhampur, was found hanging from a tree near his home under mysterious circumstances.
Some locals spotted the youth hanging and immediately informed the Police Post Tikri. Acting swiftly, a Police team reached the spot and took the dead body to District Hospital Udhampur for the postmortem.
Cause of provocation behind the suicide could not be ascertained while a case under section 174 CrPC has been registered in this connection at Police Station Rehambal for further investigation.
