JAMMU, June 6: Police in Rural Zone of Jammu District claimed today they have seized six vehicles for their involvement in illegal mining.
A police official said that one dumper was seized by a team of Police Post Manwal, two vehicles including a trolley each by teams of Police Stations Akhnoor and Nagrota and one tractor trolley by a team of Police Post Sandwan.
“The District Mining Officer has been intimated about the seizures made,” he said.
Meanwhile, in a statement, SP Jammu Rural, Brijesh Sharma said, “Police in Jammu Rural is committed to protecting public property and eradicating the menace of illegal mining in the area.”
