Nayab Singh Saini takes oath as Haryana CM for 2nd time

CHANDIGARH, Oct 17 : In a grand ceremony attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Nayab  Singh Saini took oath as the new Chief Minister of Haryana at Dusshera ground in Panchkula on Thursday.  Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya administered him the oath of office and secrecy.  Union Ministers and Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states also remained present on this occasion.   Governor Dattatraya also administered the oath of office and secrecy to 11 Cabinet Ministers and two Ministers of State. The new Cabinet Ministers include Anil Vij, Krishan Lal Panwar, Rao Narbir Singh, Mahipal Dhanda,  Vipul Goyal, Dr Arvind Kumar Sharma, Shyam Singh Rana, Ranbir Gangwa, Krishan Kumar Bedi,  Shruti Choudhry and Arti Singh Rao.

Apart from these, Rajesh Nagar and Gaurav Gautam took oath as Minister of State (Independent Charge).  Apart from PM Modi, Defence Minister Raj Nath Singh, Union Home & Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, Health &Family Welfare Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, Housing & Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Food Processing Industries Minister Chirag Paswan, MSME Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry &Dairying Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh also attended the ceremony. Besides them, Union Ministers of State Rao Inderjit Singh, Krishan Pal, Ramdas Athawale, Jayant Chaudhary, Anupriya Patel, and Satya Pal Singh Baghel were also present at the ceremony. Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat, Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, West Bengal Governor C V Anand Bose, Lieutenant Governor of NCT Delhi Vinai Kumar Saxena also graced the occasion.  Haryana Chief Secretary Dr TVSN Prasad conducted the oath-taking ceremony. Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswas Sarma, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Madhya Pradesh  Chief Minister  Mohan Yadav, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Manipur Chief Minister Nongthombam Biren Singh, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang (Golay), Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also attended the oath ceremony. Additionally, Deputy Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states also attended the swearing-in ceremony. Elected as an MLA from the Ladwa assembly constituency in Vidhan Sabha elections, Nayab Singh  Saini also served as Chief Minister Haryana, representing the Karnal assembly. He was also a member of Parliament from Kurukshetra and BJP state president. Prior to this, he represented Nariangarh as an MLA in 2014 and served as a Minister of State in the Haryana government. Born on January 25, 1970, in the village of Mirzapur Majra in Ambala, Mr Saini pursued BA and LLB degrees. (UNI)
