JAMMU, Nov 9: With nominations closed for the Jammu & Kashmir High Court Bar Association Jammu (JKHBAJ) election, scheduled for December 7, 2024, a total of 18 candidates have filed for various posts.
For the President’s post, five advocates-Abhinav Sharma, Bhavishya Sudan, Nirmal Kishore Kotwal, Pawan K Kundal, and Rohit Sharma-have entered the race.
The Vice President’s position has four contenders, including Ashwani Kumar Banotra, Baldev Singh, Daljeet Singh Manhas, and Deepika Mahajan.
Similarly, four candidates have filed for the General Secretary post, including Ahtsham Hussain Bhat, Arjun Singh Pathania, Himanshu Sharma, and Pardeep Majotra.
Advocates Anshu Mahajan and Rahul Sharma have filed for the Joint Secretary’s post while the position of Cashier has three contenders, including Atul Sharma, Jameel Choudhary, and Rahul Aggarwal.
Returning Officer Vikram Sharma stated that the scrutiny of nominations will take place on November 11, 2024.
