Annual Day celebration at JK Public School Kunjwani culminated with enthusiastic display of talent, teamwork

JAMMU: The two days long Annual Day celebration at JK Public School Kunjwani culminated on Sunday offering a vibrant showcase of student talent, creativity and spirit.
This year’s theme ‘Carnival of Cultures’ was beautifully embodied in performances that spanned various cultural expressions including music, dance and drama.

The Day-2 event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest Sham Lal Sharma, Member of Legislative Assembly Jammu & Kashmir, whose arrival met with heartfelt applause and was welcomed with elegant bouquet presentations- a symbol of the school’s respect and admiration.
The dignitaries present on the occasion were Patron Davinder Daluja and Neelam Daluja, Chairman JK Educational Society Raj Daluja, Member of Management Gautam Daluja, Director JK Educational Society Shashi Chaudhary, Principal JK Public School Kunjwani, Rajesh Rathore, Vice Principal Roopinder Kaur, School Coordinator Inderjeet Kaur, Academic Coordinator Parvinder Kaur, Primary Wing Coordinator, Anju Raj, Coordinator Toddlers’ World, Shivangani Pandotra, and many other distinguished guests and esteemed parents.
The day commenced with the auspicious lighting of the ceremonial lamp embodying the spirit of knowledge and enlightenment. This was followed by a soul-stirring performance by the school orchestra whose melodic rendition captivated the audience setting the stage for a day of cultural brilliance.
The Principal Rajesh Rathore welcomed all the distinguished guests and parents. He also shared Annual Report of the School through a PowerPoint Presentation ‘Reflections’ chronicling the remarkable achievements, accolades and milestones in academics, sports and in the field of arts.
The cultural presentations began with an evocative rendition of the “Shiv Stotram” by JKiians which resonated the environment with spirituality and grace. This was followed by “Me and my world” a vibrant performance by the students that emphasized the filial bond of love between parents and child.
Among the cultural highlights was “Sanskaar: True Values” a dance-play that emphasized the importance of ethics and character in today’s world. A Dance Drama on mobile addiction highlighted today’s alienated society, enforced the audience to ponder over again on time spent by them with mobile phone.
In a row of cultural programme, a stirring patriotic tribute to “Ashok Chakra” was presented — a performance that honoured the nation’s spirit of unity and patriotism followed by the enthralling “Dhol Dynamites” which infused the hall with energy and rhythm.
The day also recognized the academic brilliance and dedication through the highly anticipated prize distribution ceremonies. In Round-1, students from Classes II to IV were lauded for their academic excellence and 100 percent attendance, while Round-2 honoured the exemplary achievements of Class XII students in board exams celebrating their academic excellence, academic achievers of Class XI were also felicitated. Vedant Khajuria of Class XII was acknowledged and felicitated for making school website. Following the legacy of the school, students who remained persistent and resilient throughout were rewarded with tabs as scholarships. The dynamic display of JK Stars in zumba, kickboxing and Aerobics demonstrated their agility and endurance. Zumba performers synchronised their feet with Bhangra and Giddha enthusiasts to reach the grand finale, the point of culmination and left everyone spellbound. The event concluded with the felicitation of the Chief Guest and the Guest by the Management followed by the motivational address by the Chief Guest that highlighted the significance of role of females in society and importance of female education.
The senior most teacher Renu Uppal was also recognized for her invaluable contribution since inception of the school. Supporting Staff Savitri who is in the school since the school was under construction and Beli Ram who is rendering his services to school since 15th July 1992 were also acknowledged.
The programme concluded with a warm vote of thanks presented by the Head Girl of the School, Ananya, who contributed to the event’s success, and the day ended on a resonant note with the National Anthem.
