Burglary case solved

KISHTWAR, Nov 20: Police here today has solved a burglary case within 24 hours wherein the case involved theft of 60 meters of 70 Sq.mm (4-core) copper cable worth Rs. 1.98 lakh from Power House Complex of Pakal Dul Hydro Electric Project (HEP).
The theft occurred on the night of November 18, 2024.
Upon receiving a formal complaint from the Officer P&A of Pakal Dul HEP, a case was registered at Police Station Kishtwar in FIR No. 275/2024.
A team led by Incharge Police Post Dool, PSI Shubham Sharma launched an immediate and thorough investigation and arrested three suspects-Nisar Ahmed, son of Ghulam Rasool, a juvenile and Abdul Razaq, son of Mohd Ismail-all residents of Dool, Kishtwar.
During interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime and disclosed the location where they hid the stolen property.
Acting on the leads, cops, assisted by EMIC Dool, Vijay Kumar Gupta (NT Dool), carried out a search and recovered 42 kg of melted copper wire, tools used in the crime such as ropes, bags and blades.
The total value of recovered property was approximately Rs. 1.98 lakh. Further investigations were underway and additional recoveries were anticipated.
SSP Kishtwar, Javaid Iqbal Mir has issued a strong warning to individuals involved in illegal activities, urging them to desist and integrate into the mainstream.
