JAMMU, Nov 21: A delegation of office bearers of All J&K +2 Lecturers ‘Forum Jammu, led by President Pardeep Singh Rakwal, today called on Principal Secretary, School Education Department, Suresh Kumar Gupta in his office chamber at Civil Secretariat Jammu and highlighted three key issues of lecturer fraternity.
Rakwal demanded regularisation of I/C lecturers, grant of ACP and filling up of vacant posts of Principals in the larger interest of the student community with respect to academic excellence. He briefed Gupta regarding unnecessary delay in convening DPC for regularisation of Incharge officers ( Lecturers & Principals).
Responding to the issue of , Principal Secretary informed that he would go for regularisation of Incharge lecturers by convening DPC within a month to deliver justice to the incharge lecturers and Principals.
Meanwhile, the Forum, in a statement signed by senior leaders including Pardeep Singh Rakwal, RS Salathia, Ghar Singh, Pardeep Koul, Renu Lengeh, Bal Krishan Tickoo, Gh Nabi Malik, Surinder Madhyal, RK Padroo and others, has advocated for changes in existing guidelines of transfers under ATD.
The statement said that zonation be done away with and the +2 officers be allowed to opt 5 choices for his/her posting which should be School- specific. The statement pleaded for blanket ban on transfers during Academic Session and laid emphasis that the transfers be done only in vacations so that academic activities don’t suffer.
