J&K Raj Bhavan celebrates Statehood Day of Nagaland

JAMMU: Congratulating and extending his felicitations to the people of Nagaland and Assam, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday paid homage to Rani Gaidinliu, Reverend Poswuyi Swuro, Maniram Dewan, Piyali Barua, Gopinath Bardoloi, Kanaklata Barua, and other great personalities and remembered their significant contribution in nation building.

“Nagaland and Assam are fine synthesis of tradition and modernity. The two states symbolize India’s strength, its cultural traditions, rich folk art, crafts and literature. May the blessed States continue to scale new heights of growth and development, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I pray for peace, prosperity, and well-being for all its citizens,” the Lieutenant Governor said during the Statehood Day celebration of Nagaland in Jammu Kashmir Raj Bhavan.
The event was celebrated with the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.
The event, celebrating inherent cultural links among states, also observed Assam Day, which falls on 2nd December. Students, Security personnel and residents of Nagaland and Assam were the special invitees on the occasion.
